Band
The St. Amant Middle School Band is the music program at SAMS. Including 125+ students from 6th-8th grade, each member of the band learns how to read music, play an instrument, and understand basic Music Theory. The instruments students may play include the flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, and percussion. All students in the band program put on a Christmas and Spring Concert each year. By 8th grade, students are prepared for their high school musical career, and they enjoy playing fun and exciting songs, performing at pep-rallies and football games, taking field trips, & attending LMEA Large Ensemble Festival.

PBIS
PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Support. Students are rewarded with Wildcat Cash for being Responsible, Respectful, and Ready. They can turn in their Wildcat Cash to "buy" items from the woo-hoo wagon which includes snacks, drinks, pencils, etc. Items change periodically. The woo-hoo wagon usually runs every other Friday. In addition to being rewarded with Wildcat Cash, teachers choose students each month that are following school expectations and they are named that month's "Roaring Wildcat." Those students are rewarded with some type of reward such as popcorn, nachos, donuts, free dress, popsicle, etc.
